1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by D-Express Removals & Storage (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions

“Client”, “you” – the person or entity booking and using our services

“Services” – moving, packing, assembly, delivery, and storage services
-
“Goods” – items being moved, delivered, or stored
3. Booking & Quotes
3.1 Quotes
All quotes are estimates only and are based on the information provided by the client.
Quotes may change if:

Additional items are added
-
Access is restricted
-
Waiting time occurs
-
Extra services are required
3.2 Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed only when:
-
A confirmation message or email is sent, AND
-
A deposit (if required) is paid
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Payment Due
All payments must be made:
-
Immediately upon completion of the job for hourly-rate services, or
-
Before delivery for fixed-price services
4.2 Methods
We accept:

Cash
-
Bank transfer
-
Credit/debit card (surcharge may apply)
4.3 Overdue Payments
Overdue balances may result in:
-
Storage of goods at the client’s cost

Additional fees
-
Suspension of service delivery
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Client-initiated Cancellation
-
48+ hours before the job → No cancellation fee
-
24–48 hours → 50% cancellation fee
-
Less than 24 hours or no show → 100% cancellation fee
5.2 Weather or Safety
We may postpone or cancel a job if conditions are unsafe (e.g., heavy storms).
6. Access & Parking
The client is responsible for:

Providing clear access at pickup and delivery locations
-
Ensuring legal parking availability
-
Any parking fines, tolls, or building access fees
If access involves stairs, long carries, elevators, or difficult entry, extra charges may apply.
7. Client Responsibilities
You must:
-
Pack fragile items securely
-
Notify us of valuable or delicate items
-
Supervise the move or provide clear instructions
-
Ensure appliances are disconnected before moving
We are not responsible for issues caused by poor packing done by the client.
8. Excluded Items
We do not transport:
-
Hazardous or flammable materials
-
Illegal items
-
Perishables
-
Pets
-
Cash, jewellery, or high-value items unless declared in writing
9. Damage & Claims
9.1 In-house Handling
We take all reasonable care when handling your goods.
9.2 Limits of Liability
We are not liable for:
-
Damage to items packed by the client
-
Minor scratches, dents, or scuffs due to normal moving conditions
-
Damage caused by structural weaknesses (e.g., old furniture, pressed wood)
-
Damage due to client instructions
9.3 Reporting Damage
Any claim must be:
-
Reported in writing within 48 hours of job completion
-
Supported with photos and description
9.4 Maximum Liability
Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service provided unless additional insurance is purchased.
10. Storage Services (if applicable)
If storage is requested:

Fees must be paid in advance
-
Items must be properly packed before storage
-
Unpaid storage fees may result in disposal of goods under applicable law
11. Delays & Unforeseen Circumstances
We are not liable for delays caused by:
-
Traffic
-
Weather conditions
-
Road closures
-
Vehicle breakdowns
-
Factors outside our control
12. Appliances & Assembly
We do not:
-
Disconnect or reconnect electrical, gas, or plumbing appliances
-
Install fixtures requiring licensed trades
Assembly services are provided upon request and may incur extra charges.
13. Insurance
We provide standard public liability coverage, but this does not cover damage to goods.
Clients are encouraged to obtain separate transit or contents insurance if needed.
14. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service if:

Conditions are unsafe

Items are hazardous
-
Staff are verbally or physically abused
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
